What is Black Friday?? Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving in the United States, is historically one of the busiest retail shopping days of the year. Many consider it the "official" beginning to the Christmas shopping season. The "black" in the name comes from the standard accounting practice of using red ink to denote negative values (i.e., losses) and black ink to denote positive values (profits). Black Friday is the day when retailers traditionally get back "in the black" after operating "in the red" for the previous months.
Here is a website that lists the prices of many retailers on Black Friday. Typically this stuff is secret, and is never revealed till that day. In fact the guy got a ceist and desist order from several companies who were pissed off thier prices were leaked to the net. ;)
Check it out here.
